INT'L CHAMPION MURPHY BROWN
INT'L CHAMPION MURPHY BROWN
MURPHY BROWN retired to Lake Havasu City and is possibly at the Bridge....so she really doesn't belong on this page. But Murphy will always be my #1 girl. She was a knockout. Murphy was out of Cricket's first litter, so became 2nd in command around here. I consider her to be one of my foundation bitches. She produced some outstanding babies and many years of Min Pin love. Her Dad was mostly Bluehen breeding. I had her shown a little & she took Reserve in Flagstaff The judge was president of the Min Pin Club...so that made us feel real proud! She was shown under 3 AKC Judges & received her IABKCA International Championship .
Murphy's also quite a celebrity in our book. Actually she's in a couple of Min Pin books. It came about in 1997 when a freelance photographer asked the handler if she could take some photos of her dogs at a dog show in Tucson. She said sure, as long as we can get copies or negatives. She kind of kept her promise & did send one negative. We had no idea what these people do with pictures, but obviously they sell them to publishers of various products. A new breed book appeared on Min Pins the following year entitled "The New Owner's Guide to Miniature Pinschers". The author is Jacqueline O'Neil. To our surprise we found Murphy pictured on page 49 sitting with her pal Dallas. There is a great picture of her litter sister, Reba on page 103.There's also a couple of photos, one a full page, of my handlers daughter with one of my little chocolate boys. This is a nicely done book with alot of xlnt photos that represent our king of toys. THEN to add to our joy, a couple of months later we found this beautiful photo (shown here) of Murphy, featured not only on the cover but also for the month May in a Min Pin Calendar published by Pet Prints. When I found she was in it, I called the publisher to get a copy (well actually,I bought the 7 they had left because it was already May! Even tho' this was several years ago, I will always think of Murphy as my calendar girl! Murphy blessed us with beautiful pups, some of which I kept over the years and who have made my line what it is today.

CH NIZHONI HIGH SOCIETY
AKA GRACE
High Society was Grace Kelly's favorite movie. She then turned into a Princess. Somehow our Grace got it into her head that she is a Princess. Personally I think she runs things around here like a dictatorship! She bosses everyone........at least all the other dogs. She was just as bossy in the ring while I was showing her. Fortunately for us both she didn't drag this championship out too long. I was always prepared for her to try something she shouldn't. The day she got the points at a show she chomped at the judges flowing skirt as she was walking away after handing us the ribbon. Fortunately the judge didn't feel or see her antics. I swifty scooped her up and exited the ring!
Grace is about 11" tall and yeah, we do treat her like a Princess.........Her Mom is Stormy, Dad is Thomas. When she gets beyond the Princess thing she may decide to take a husband and honor us with somelittle Gracies!
WE'RE REALLY EXCITED TO SAY ....THAT IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN! GRACE AND JJ HAD A GORGEOUS LITTER OF 5 ON SEPT 27. 4 GIRLS, 1 BOY. YES, I GET PICK OF THIS LITTER!!! ....But the others are available and going to be very nice. I believe at the smaller end of the scale like Grace. She's being very protective!

GRAND CHAMPION NIZHONI'S DAYS OF OUR LIVES
AKA DEE
WHOOPEEEEEEEE I HAVE A GRAND CHAMPION!! Dee finished before a year old and as icing on the cake, received the Best of Breed win the next day against 18 other Min Pins....she continued on to become a Grand Champion while showing in New Mexico. What fun she and I had.
Who has never seen Days of Our Lives? One of the longest running soaps on TV. The actress, Deidre Hall is one of my favorites on the soap...so Dee was named after her, just for fun. I'm sure she would be thrilled if she knew. Ya think? This show thing is getting too easy. Either I'm gettin' real good in the ring or what I'm producing and showing is getting better? I have to believe it's the latter. All I know is this little girl finished quickly. Dee loves the show ring. Just a little show off.
She is one of the darkest Stag Reds you will see. Very striking!

1st Point Yeah Your first purple ribbon!!! First Major Win
.

NIZHONI'S SPIRIT OF AMERICA
AKA CANDIE
Candie is knockout gorgeous....she's just a little wild! As a result I have pulled her from showing for the time being and hope she settles down with time.
Altho born here and raised by me she is the only female here who is not a result of my breeding. Her pedigree is most impressive. I raised her Mom, Ch Chateau Acres Tickle My Fancy. Fancy was also quite spirited but she did like the show ring. I showed her initially when she was old enough and helped contribute to her championship points. Her Father (Sire) is Ch Bralin Spirit of America. Spirit lives in Washington. Altho he finished I understand he wasn't crazy about the show ring either. So I hope to get her back in and get the championship that she deserves. She presently has 7 of the 15 points needed to finish.
Actually, between you and me she would be quite happy to just stay home. She's quite the clown and has no intention of growing up! I did breed her in June but it doesn't appear it took so maybe next time Candie?
Candie has a very handsome brother named Prinz. He live between Seattle and Arizona with a delightful couple now friends of ours, Suzie and Mike. Prinz has some the same hangups as Candie re the ring. In the genes?? We'll see. Like Candie, Prinz loves his Mom and Dad...just not fond of strangers, especially in the ring! Kids!!
Here's pictures of her parents: SPIRIT
FANCY PRINZ

NIZHONI'S WEE BONNIE JEAN
AKA JEAN
Jean was named in fond memory of my Scottish born Mother, Jean. At barely 10" Jean is a small, well balanced girl both physically & mentally. Altho small is size she has nice strong bones and not at all fragile.
As you can see she has natural ears and a nice dark red color.
She is a wonderful Mom! A picture of her daughter, Jill is coming up.
ABOUT NATURAL VS CROPPED EARS.
To crop or not to crop is a personal decision. Plain and simple. If you are wanting your Min Pin cropped do have it done at the appropriate age and by a qualified vet.
I do NOT sell puppies with ears cropped and will caution you that any "breeder" who offers a 6-8 week old baby with ears cropped should be questioned. In fact, I suggest you mark them off your list.
Just look at puppies for sale from "breeders" who are offering and picturing their puppies with ears cropped. Then compare those ears with my dogs who have been cropped at the proper age by a qualified person (that's not me!) You will readily see the difference. The bad crops will look like they've had a razor cut straight down the outside of the ear. I hate to tell you this, but that's pretty much what this "breeder" did when the pups were maybe a couple of days old. Horrible cropping and ever so sad just to think of it. 10 weeks is the very earliest I have known a vet to do ears. 12 weeks is about average. Unlike a Dobe pup a Min Pin can get it’s ear cropped later and do fine.

NIZHONI'S LITTLE ORPHAN ANNIE
AKA ANNIE
Annie gets the award here for the top escape artist! She does leave home...but she's made it clear she will not reside in any of the back yards. (I have 3) She insists on having access to the house. She can climb over any fence or dig under....whatever it takes to accomplish her goal. If her endevour takes her outside the yard she will just make a beeline to the front gate. She just wants to be a part of the immediate family. Annie is a people dog for sure.

NIZHONI'S SINGIN' IN THE RAIN
AKA RAIN
adjective "demure"
Definition: modestly shy, often in a playful or flirtatious way
Synonyms: modest, shy, coy, prim, discreet, bashful, coquettish
If asked for a word to describe Rain it would be demure. She has never had the typical Min Pin personality. It may be the fact that her rust coloring around her face and very dark eye color staring at you just makes you melt. She's not an excitable girl. She has a long list of eccentricities to go with her demure personality. I actually named her after Rain Pryor (Richard's daughter) When she was a baby I saw Rain Pryor performing on TV. She's just a beautiful girl and decided that was a perfect name for my beautiful girl!
She's such a strange girl! For eg I may call to her in the yard. She will stop and look at me. She rarely comes but prefers me to approach her. As I do she goes down and rolls over for a belly rub.
Rain loves the kiddie pool. She likes to get in and just lay down for a few. If it's not handy she will squeeze herself into the big roasting pan I use as water dishes in the yard, which is quite a sight to see.
And as if this isn't enough she completes each day but picking her food dish up (without spilling 1 kibble) and carry it into the dog house. I sure get weary of crawling into the dog houses to retrieve food dishes! I must say Rain is one of the most best behaved girls here at Min Pin Heaven.
