INT'L CH NIZHONI'S MURPHY BROWN
MURPHY BROWN is now comfortably retired.
Murphy was out of Cricket's first litter, so became 2nd in command around here.I regard Murphy as one of my foundation bitches. Murphy tomcollage-produced some outstanding babies and many years of Min Pin love. Her Dad was mostly Bluehen breeding.
As a 2 year old she took Reserve in Flagstaff The judge was president of the Min Pin Club...made us feel real proud!
Murphy was shown under 3 AKC Judges & received her IABKCA International Championship Certification.

Murphy's also quite a celebrity in our book. Actually she's in a book. It came about in 1997 when a freelance photographer asked my handler if she could take some photos of her dogs at an dog show in Tucson. She said sure, as long as we can get copies or negatives. She kind of kept her promise & did send one negative. We had no idea what these people do with pictures, but obviously they sell them to publishers of various things. Well, a new breed book appeared on Min Pins the following year entitled "The New Owner's Guide to Miniature Pinschers". The author is Jacqueline O'Neil. To our surprise we found Murphy pictured on page 49 sitting with her pal Dallas. There is a great picture of her litter sister, Reba on page 103.There's also a couple of photos, one a full page, of my handlers daughter with one of my little chocolate boys. This is a nicely done book, with alot of xlnt photos that represent our king of toys.
THEN to add to our joy we found this beautiful photo (shown here) of Murphy, featured not only on the cover but also for the month May in a Min Pin Calendar published by Pet Prints. When I found she was in it I called the publisher to get a copy (well actually,I bought the 7 they had left because it was already May! Even tho' this was several years ago, I will always think of Murphy as my calendar girl! Murphy blessed us with beautiful pups, some of which I kept over the years and who have made my line what it is today.

NIZHONI'S I'M PLAYING THE FIELD
Mamie & Thomas are sister & brother, born 11/29/06. I haven't had any dogs shown for several years. Not that there aren't several show quality dogs at Min Pin Heaven!
The results of the Lucy/Trucker litter inspired me. It was a beautiful litter of 5. With the help & encouragement of some respected show breeders I kept 2 pups now known as Mamie & Thomas. I named them in honor of my very dear friends Mamie VanDoren & her hubby Thomas Dixon.
Mamie wrote a book a few years ago entitled "Playing the Field", thus my Mamie's registered name.
They both started showing this month (May) in the puppy class. I haven't been in the ring in many years so a little nervous but optimistic that we will have resident Champions here! Wish us all well.Click on the enlarged photo to see a wonderful picture of them. They're quite the twins.

MAMIE EARNED HER FIRST 2 POINTS IN NEW MEXICO ...I was so very proud of her. Mamie is so very special. I've pretty much raised them both in the motorhome traveling. We are also dog show vendors and have a booth/store at the shows that we intend called YOUR DOG WORLD. (BTW www.yourdogworld.net will be open online within the next 3o days. So write the url down and save it.It will feature all the wonderful products we sell in our booth more) As it sometimes happens with a show dog, Mamie decided she did not like the show ring. You can't MAKE a dog show. They must enjoy it or it just doesn't work. So at least for now I am not showing Mamie. I may try again when we get Thomas finished. Mamie loves to travel and I love traveling with her. She sits on the big dash of the MH like the Queen of the Nile! She IS a show dog for me!!

NIZHONI'S BLADE RUNNER
Coming up with a registered name for Mamie that connected her to Mamie VanDoren via her book was pretty easy. But her hubby is just a wonderful, regular guy. Mamie's a wonderful, regular gal too, but she's a movie star, wrote a book etc. I was stumped. So I called Mamie for help! They are both animal lovers and particulary Min Pin lovers. They are tickled that I named my 2 "star prospects" after them. (It's a dog lover thing!) After discussing various name possibilities, Mamie said that Thomas's favorite movie is Blade Runner. Sounded good to us. So that's his registered name. He's a little darker and a little smaller than his sister...also being a boy, just a love!
Thomas started out great. Third show entered he got his first points. One each day. As the year has gone by he has matured into a very handsome fella. Unlike Mamie, Thomas love the show ring. For those who understand the AKC point schedule, he has gotten all of his single points some spares! As of the middle of May he just needed a minimum of two 3 pt Majors to finish to his Championship. Majors are harder to find. So how thrilled was I when on May 25,2008 in Pomona, Ca Thomas got a 5 pt Major!! He was Winner of 12 dogs. 5 pt Major's are few and far between. What a thrill it was for me. Now we just need a minimum of a 3 pt Major and I will have my Champion. So go Thomas!!
